Why fiberglass
A faster path to a pool that is built for easier ownership.
Compared with concrete and vinyl-liner pools, fiberglass offers a compelling balance of installation speed, long-term value, comfort, quality control, and routine care.
01
Faster installation
A premanufactured fiberglass shell can be set, backfilled, and filled with water in a much shorter timeframe than a pool constructed entirely on-site. Depending on site conditions, a fiberglass installation may be completed in as little as about one week, compared with roughly 3–6 months for concrete and 3–6 weeks for many vinyl-liner installations.
02
Long-term value
A durable fiberglass structure can provide excellent value over the life of the pool. Concrete may carry higher initial and ongoing maintenance costs, while vinyl liners typically require periodic replacement.
03
Smooth finish and built-in style
The smooth, nonabrasive surface feels comfortable underfoot. Factory-molded designs can integrate steps, seating, tanning ledges, and swim space in a clean, finished form.
04
Factory-controlled construction
Fiberglass shells are manufactured in controlled conditions using established materials, processes, and quality checks. Concrete pools are formed and finished on-site, where workmanship and conditions can vary.
05
Strong structural protection
Fiberglass pools are engineered for strength and durability, and many models include long-term structural warranty coverage. Coverage differs by manufacturer and model, so the written warranty should always be reviewed.
06
Lower routine maintenance
The smooth fiberglass surface is less hospitable to algae and is designed to support easier cleaning, balanced water chemistry, and saltwater chlorination. Concrete surfaces may require acid washing or resurfacing, while vinyl liners can tear and eventually need replacement.
Installation schedules, maintenance needs, costs, and warranty terms vary by project, site conditions, selected equipment, and manufacturer.
